At Joyful Tutors, we are committed to making a positive impact beyond the classroom. We are proud to partner with Action Guinea-Bissau, a UK-based charity dedicated to addressing critical issues such as gender inequality, unemployment, and environmental challenges in Guinea-Bissau.

Action Guinea-Bissau focuses on four key areas to create meaningful change:

1. Educational Scholarships: Providing financial support to individuals who cannot afford an education, ensuring that more young people have the opportunity to learn and succeed.

2. Construction Projects: Building essential infrastructure, including schools, teacher accommodation, wells, and toilets, to create a better learning environment for both students and educators.

3. Micro-Credit Loans: Offering micro-loans of approximately £200 each to help individuals start or expand small businesses, fostering economic independence and growth within the community.

4. Emergency Fund: Supporting health emergencies and addressing weather-related destruction through an emergency fund to assist those in urgent need.

Our Contribution

As part of our commitment to social responsibility, Joyful Tutors is actively involved in supporting Action Guinea-Bissau’s mission. We provide English tutoring to two groups of girls, aged 16-31, through weekly Zoom sessions. This initiative aims to empower these young women with essential language skills that can enhance their educational and professional opportunities.
